On September 22-25, 2016, the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) took part in the 11^th International Exhibition “Gidroaviasalon – 2016”.

The guests of the exhibition had an opportunity to get acquainted with developments of the institute, which were in demand by the Russian aviation industry. The exposition of VIAM was demonstrated in the exhibition hall “C”, stand 1-2.

A prototype of low-sized gas turbine engine (LGTE) for unmanned aircrafts, developed for the first time in Russia by additive technologies, occupied a central place in the exposition. 

Among the exhibits were front combustion chamber swirler of the advanced engine PD-14, stabilizer and atomizer for low-emission combustion chamber, fragment of igniter burner of gas turbine engine PD-14, nozzle blades of the second degree of high-pressure turbine. Besides, samples of metal-powder composition, designed for production of GTE parts by the method of selective melting were presented in the exhibition.

VIAM traditionally demonstrated its developments in the field of polymer composite materials and paint-and-lacquer coatings.
