On September 23, 2016, Denis V. Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russia Federation visited the exposition of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) in the course of the official opening of the 11^th International Exhibition “Gidroaviasalon-2016”.

Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM told the Head of Department about advanced developments of the institute in the field of additive technologies. In particular, a prototype of low-sized gas turbine engine (LGTE) for unmanned aircrafts was brought to his attention.

 “Low-sized gas turbine engine was produced fully on the base of VIAM`s additive manufacturing by new technology of layered laser melting”, - Evgeny Kablov pointed out.

It should be noted, that Evgeny Kablov presented to Denis Manturov a book “Robert Bartini” published by VIAM, the presentation of which took place in GCTC of VIAM on September, 24.
