On August 10-12, 2016, the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) is taking part in the 8^th International specialized exhibition “Aerospace technologies, modern materials and equipment” (Kazan).

During the official opening of the meeting Rustam N. Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Albert A. Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Industry and Trade of RT, Ravil Kh. Zaripov, Assistant to President of RT, Sergey V. Emelyanov, Director of Department of Aviation Industry of Minpromtorg of Russia, Mikhail A. Pogosyan, Rector of Moscow Aviation Institute have visited the exposition of VIAM.

They got acquainted with advanced developments of the institute in the field of additive technologies. The specialists of VIAM told about achievements in that area, demonstrated a prototype of low-sized gas turbine engine for unmanned air vehicles, which had been produced by additive technologies for the first time in Russia. 

Rustam Minnikhanov highly appreciated the developments of VIAM and wished the institute further success in the work with enterprises of Tatarstan.

It should be noted, that combustion chamber swirler of advanced engine PD-14, stabilizer and dispenser for low emission combustor chamber, burner fragment of gas turbine igniter I-41, nozzle vane of the 2^nd stage of high-pressure turbine were also presented on the exposition of VIAM.

The exhibition of AKTO has been held since 2002 under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and under the support of the Government of RT. The aim of the exhibition is the development of scientific, technical and technological capability of enterprises and organizations, involved in development and manufacture of aviation and rocket-space engineering, in expansion of cooperation between enterprises and scientific organizations.
