On November, 30, 2015 the youth conference titled “Fundamental scientific principles of modern comprehensive research methods and materials tests and also structural components” was held at the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM).
Cand. of Sc. (Tech.) Aleksey N. Lutsenko, Head of Testing center of VIAM opened the event. “It is very pleasant, that our conference was supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research”, - he pointed out. – I would like to extend my gratitude to Academician of RAS, Vladislav Ya. Panchenko, the Chairman of RFBR for support given to perspective fundamental researches and for high estimate of our works by the Foundation.
According to Aleksey Lutsenko, scientific and technological development of the country will be determined on the basis of acquiring new knowledge and young people will be the key moving force for this aim. “It is better to begin involving the rising generation into large-scale scientific projects from senior school. The key aims are to show that they are in demand and that their works are implemented into real projects”, - Head of TC VIAM pointed out.
Irina A. Zhurbina, Head of Department of youth programs of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research read out message of greetings from Academician of RAS, Vladislav Ya. Panchenko, the Chairman of RFBR. “It is remarkably, that the conference is taking place in the leading materials science center of Russia – the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials, which integrates and combines fundamental researches with applied scientific works, and it serves as a good base for fruitful work and demonstration of forward-looking results. The main issues of our science are to support the development of creative activity of young specialists and scientists, to demonstrate and popularize the results of fundamentally-oriented and applied researches, to form new fundamental directions, to organize effective scientific teams. VIAM has achieved significant success in resolving the issues”, - Irina Zhurbina informed.
