On October, 5, 2015 a solemn awarding ceremony was held for winners and laureates of the Aviation Builder of the Year contest at the World Trade Center of Moscow.
As of year-end 2014 more than hundred experts examined 137 pieces of work from 77 enterprises in 10 nominations. More than 400 representatives of aviation industry were invited to the awarding ceremony.
The All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials was among winners, the institute became the prize-winner in the nomination “For development of new technologies”. Vyacheslav G. Zheleznyak, Head of section and Cand. of Sc. (Tech.) Ramil R. Mukhametov, Head of section were granted titles of honor for their work “Manufacturing technique of polycyanurate binders for high-strength heat-resistant matrixes of structural polymer composite materials with operating temperatures up to 170?C”.
In the course of the solemn ceremony, Cand. of Sc. (Tech.) Larisa V. Chursova, Head of scientific-research bureau «Polymer composite materials of new generation» delivered a welcoming address. She pointed out, that “Application of materials and technologies of new generation can bring domestic aircraft industry to a totally new level and VIAM is actively working in this direction”.
It should be remembered, that the main purposes of the Aviation Builder of the Year contest, which is annually held by the Union of Aviation Industrialists of Russia, are as follows: to develop system of public stimulation of corporate teams of aviation industry, to popularize achievements, and also to improve corporate relations. The contest is held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Government of Moscow.
The winners of the Aviation Builder of the Year contest also became: PJSC “Irkut Corporation” in nomination “For the successful execution of the state defense order”, JSC “Ryazan State Instrument-making Enterprise” in nomination “For the creation of the new model”, OJSC “Kamov” jointly with OJSC “Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise” in nomination “The best innovative project”, JSC “Ulyanovsk Instrument Manufacturing Design Bureau” in nomination “For the achievements in the creation of systems and equipment for the aviation industry”, OJSC “Kamov” in nomination “For the achievements in the development of aviation engineering and components (experimental design bureau of the year)”, PJSC “UAC” jointly with Moscow Aviation Institute in the nomination “For the contribution to the standards base development in aviation industry”, OJSC “Klimov” in nomination “For achievements in the field of engineering in aviation industry”, OJSC Ilyushin Aviation Complex” in nomination “For the training activity of the aviation specialists new generation among enterprises”, Moscow Aviation Institute in nomination “For the training activity of the aviation specialists new generation among enterprises”.
