From 28 September to 2 October, 2015 Evgeny M. Shuldeshov, Head of section of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) is taking part in the Fourth Open Russian Conference on Aeroacoustics. The Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after N. E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI) acts as the organizer of the scientific forum.
Within the framework of the conference, leading scientists, working in the field of aeroacoustics and aviation ecology, discuss the main directions, reflecting the problems of noise diminution for domestic planes and helicopters on ground and into a cabin. In particular, participants of the conference discussed the latest decisions concerning the noise standard stringency, accepted by CAEP ICAO in February, 2013.
In the course of the conference, Evgeny Shuldeshov made a report “Polymer acoustic absorption honeycomb core for modern units”. He noted that acoustic absorption honeycomb core, grade VZMK-1, developed at VIAM, complied with requirements for using in modern and advanced acoustic absorption constructions (AAC). According to him, existing resonant AAC can be effectively substituted by this technology and type of cores, which have better acoustic absorption characteristics and weight, and have therewith the same strength index.
In turn, Victor F. Kopiev, Head of TsAGI Acoustics Department, Chairman of organizing committee of the conference highly appreciated the technology for development of advanced cores for AC, developed at VIAM.
