On September, 21-24, 2015 Eva A. Lukina and Vladimir A. Korolev, representatives of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) took part in the 8^th International Conference BTLA “Beam technologies and laser application”. The event was held at the premises of the Institute of laser and welding technologies of SPbSTU in St.-Petersburg.

The Conference BTLA is the main Russian forum for discussion of the issues, tied to physics of interaction of powerful energy flux with substance and its practical applications. In the course of the event scientists from the field of industrial laser and electron-beam technologies got acquainted with the newest results, achieved by the leading scientific teams of the world.

In particular, the specialists of VIAM represented their reports. Eva Lukina made a report devoted to “Researches concerning the regularity of formation of the grain alloy structure of alloying system Ni-Al-Co-Nb-Cr-Ti-Mo by the method of synthesized selective laser sintering (SLS) depending on the parameters of laser beam, thermal processing and Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP).

In turn, Vladimir Korolev spoke about materials of new generation for additive technologies.

It should be noted, that the reports of the employees of the institute aroused great interest among the participants of the scientific forum.
