In the year of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory we hold the memory of VIAM`s employees, who gave their life in a savage struggle with fascism. It`s gratifying, that soon, on October 14, 2015 the monument to the 7th division soldiers of the people's emergency volunteer corps of the Bauman district of Moscow will be opened on the Razguliay square.
The monument is a national one on the right, as the fund raising for its creation is carried out by the citizens, each of whom will receive a certification of donation and will be invited to the opening ceremony of the monument. The sum, which has already been collected, amounts about 3 million 700 thousand rubles. “Let`s it be our national monument! Let`s it be embodied of good will of each of us, a piece of our heart and our labor! The Generation of the Great Victory deserves it, and our children are worthy of their memory”, the organizers pointed out.
The promotional event takes place with the participation of: Prefecture of the Central Administrative District, Deanery of the Theophany District of Moscow, Council of Deputies of the Basmanny Municipality, Council of Veterans of the Basmanny District, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK), Moscow House of Nationalities, Regional Public Organization of Heroes of Socialist labor and Full Cavalier of the Order of Labor Glory.
It should be noted, that at the end of the April, a group of the employees of VIAM held the Saturday community service and laid flowers at the monument to the soldiers of the people's emergency volunteer corps of the Bauman district of Moscow installed on the site of the defensive of the division as of October, 1941. The monument is located on 242 km of the Minsk highway. The 7th division was formed on July 3-7, 1941. More than 12 thousand people joined it, among them were the employees of VIAM, the plant “Aerogeopribor”, higher-education teaching personnel and students of Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman, Moscow Institute of Chemical Engineering, Engineering-Economic Institute named after Ordzhonikidze and representatives of many others enterprises of the district.
