On August 27, 2015, representatives of VIAM, Larisa V. Chursova and Dmitry I. Kogan, heads of scientific-research bureaus and Alexander E. Raskutin, head of laboratory, have acquainted with the newest liner “Airbus A350 exposed on the static aircraft layout in the framework of the International Aviation and Space Show MAKS-2015.
It should be noted, that Airbus A350 belongs to the family of long-range wide-body twin-engine passenger planes developed by Airbus to replace A350 and A340 aircraft. This newest airliner is the first one in the product range of Airbus, whose fuselage and wing are manufactured from carbon fiber reinforced plastics.
A350 planes are designed to transport from 250 up to 350 passengers in the standard three-class configuration. The maximum capacity of airliner is 440-550 passengers depending on modification.
