On August 4, 2015, Sergey Skripachev and Michael Daskovski, representatives of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) have taken part in a strategic session entitled “Prospective professions as the basis of system modernization of the industry and creation of new vacancies after the example of pilot industries”. The event was held within the framework of implementation of the project of the Agency for strategic initiatives devoted to formation of the prospective professions list.
At the session, the experts have considered the basic trends in development of new technologies in machine-tool building and materials production; issues relating to qualitative training of personnel for Russian industry and arrangement of conditions for reproduction of new professions were discussed as well.
It should be noted, that the list of prospective professions is aimed to provide with high-qualified personnel those areas of economics, which are boosting now or will develop in the nearest future.
The work focused on determination of prospective professions is carried out with account of strategies and development programs of industries, manufacturing enterprises, import substitution programs and initiatives to create new markets. Representatives of business, manufacturing enterprises, scientific communities, educational institutions and bodies of executive power are involved in the project for coordinated design of new competences under these programs.

The Agency for strategic initiatives (the Agency for strategic initiatives to promote new projects) is a Russian autonomous noncommercial organization established by the Government of Russian Federation to implement a set of measures in economic and social spheres, in particular, for promotion of priority projects, implementation of the measures to improve the business environment in Russia, personnel development, etc.
The help of ASI consists in coordination of cooperation with financial organizations, development institutions, funds and interaction with the authority bodies to provide support and assistance in solution of system problems (different barriers of legal and administrative nature, changes of state standards (GORTs) and so on).
