On July 2, 2015, a regular meeting of the dissertation committee took place in the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM), where a dissertation for the technical sciences candidate degree was considered.

Gennady G. Klochkov, chief of section of VIAM, presented his candidate degree thesis «An influence of calcium and heat treatment conditions on the structure and technological properties of sheets made from Al-Mg-Si alloy V-1341» to the dissertation council. The work has been done under the guidance of Cand. of Sc. (Tech.) Vladislav V. Antipov, head of scientific-research bureau «Titanium, magnesium, beryllium and aluminium alloys»”.

By results of discussion and the subsequent vote, the dissertation committee has made the decision to confer the scientific degree "Candidate of Technical Sciences" on Gennady G. Klochkov.
