On May 26-28, 2015, representatives of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) have taken part in the All-Russian Scientific and Technical conference of young scientists and specialists devoted to “New solutions and technologies in gas-turbine building”. The event was held at P.I. Baranov Baranov Central Institute of Aviation Motor Development (CIAM) and was dedicated to the 85th anniversary of CIAM.
In the course of the scientific forum, young specialists of VIAM made their reports. In particular, Elvira Arginbaeva told about heat treatment of new Ni-based heat-resistant intermetallic alloy.
Maxim Akhmedzyanov made the report named as “Features of alloying of welded Ni-Co nitrides-hardened alloys operable at temperature up to 1250?C”.
Dmitry Kosolapov reported about the study of time effect of mechanical alloying on formation of structure of composite Al-SiC granules.
Anton Smirnov told about thermal barrier coatings for blades of high-pressure turbine of advanced turbine engines made of heat-resistant single-crystal nickel alloys with working temperature up to 1200?C.
Denis Chubarov informed the audience about new high-temperature ceramic materials for thermal barrier coatings.
Pavel Matveev made the report “The complex of protective and heat-insulting coatings for parts made of Ni-based intermetallic alloys operable up to 1300?C.
Then Olga Grishina made her presentation “Trends in the use of high-strength and high-modulus fiber metal composite materials in advanced aircraft gas turbine engines (according to foreign information)”.
Alexander Skugorev informed about features and advantages of isothermal forging in air for production of GTE disc billets.
Alexander Shestakov made the poster presentation named as “An effect of microalloying with rare-earth metals on the structure and properties of Ni3Al -based alloy”.
It should be noted, that more than 300 young scientists, specialists of enterprises and institutions of the aerospace industry, students and post-graduates from more than 50 specialized universities, research institutes and institutions of Moscow, Perm, Kazan, Voronezh, Samara, ST. Petersburg, Omsk, Rybinsk, Yekaterinburg and other Russian cities took part in the event. Some issues in the field of development of new technologies for production of advanced aviation engines and ground-based gas turbine units were considered within the framework of the scientific forum.
It should be noted, that Academician of RAS Evgeny Kablov, Director General of VIAM, made a report at the plenary meeting of the conference on May 26, 2015.
