On May 18, 2015, Academician Evgeny Kablov, Director General of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM), has taken part in a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission; the meeting was dedicated to the assessment of efficiency of scientific organizations performing research, developmental and technological works of civil purposes.

It should be noted that the event was held at the Department of Science and Technology under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The Interdepartmental Commission was established to ensure an objective independent evaluation of efficiency of scientific organizations, which work under the jurisdiction of the federal executive bodies and perform research, developmental and technological works of civil purposes. The Commission membership is approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for a period of three years.
