On April 28, 2015, a regular meeting of the dissertation committee took place at the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM), where two dissertations for the technical sciences candidate degree were considered.

Evgeny B. Alekseev, head of sector, presented his candidate degree thesis «An influence of aluminum content and thermomechanical treatment parameters on structure, phase composition and mechanical properties of semiproducts from VTI-4 intermetallic titanium alloy» to the dissertation council.

In turn, Vladimir G. Babashov, head of sector reported on his thesis "Flexible high-temperature insulating materials based on mullite-corundum fibers."

By results of discussion and the subsequent vote, the dissertation committee has made the decision to confer the scientific degrees "Candidate of Technical Sciences" on Vladimir Babashov and Evgeny Alekseev.
