On January 21, 2015 the Managing Director of JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" (UMPO) Alexander Artukhov and General Designer, Director of UMPO branch - A. Lyulka Experimental Design Bureau Evgeny Yuvenalievich Marchuk has visited the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM).

During the visit they have familiarized themselves with the main activities of VIAM, research and testing complex, laboratories, high-tech small-scale production, and also held negotiations with the management of VIAM on the prospects of bilateral cooperation. In particular, they talked about the usage of new materials and technologies for domestic engines.

General Director of VIAM, Academician Evgeny Kablov has introduced the representatives of UMPO with some of the results as well as the financial and economic performance of VIAM over the past year and future endeavors of the Institute.

Alexander Artukhov has highly evaluated the scientific and technical equipment of the institute and production potential of VIAM. He has also emphasized the strategic approach of VIAM in warranting our country needs in modern materials and technologies.
