On December 26, 2014, academician of RAS Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) took part in the meeting of the Inter-departmental Commission on Technological Development of the Presidium of the Council on modernization of economics and innovative development of Russia acting under the President of the Russian Federation. The event took place in Bauman Moscow State Technical University. In the course of the meeting, the attendees discussed the progress of works on development of new manufacturing technologies, including application of new materials and additive technologies. 

Besides, the same day the head of VIAM took part in open hearings on concepts of development programs of the Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations of Russia (FASO).
