On December 1, 2014, candidate of science (Eng.) Olga G. Ospennikova, deputy director general of VIAM and candidate of science (Eng.) Alexander G. Evgenov, head of laboratory, took part in a scientific and practical conference hosted by Moscow State University of Mechanical Engineering (MAMI).
The event was dedicated to the results of implementation of applied researches within the federal target program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation «Research and development on priority directions of evolution of scientific-technological complex of Russia for 2014-2020».
At the conference, Alexander Evgenov presented a report about implementation of researches on the project, in frames of which VIAM develops experimental additive technologies for manufacture and repair of GTE in cooperation with the Institute of Laser and Information Technologies and Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University for the benefit of OJSC “Aviadvigatel”.
In particular, he reported about tasks and targets of the project, results of undertaken researches and efforts and informed the attendees about specific features of additive production.
As Olga Ospennikova noted, «implementation of this project allows one to change over the conventional technologies of manufacture and repair of intricate-profiled parts of GTE to the technologies of new generation causing a significant reduction in labour input».
