On November, 26, 2014, Roman O. Vakhromov, the chief of laboratory of VIAM, took part in the International Forum “Autoindustry. Autocomponents”. The event is held in Tolyatti on the initiative of the Government of the Samara region.

Within the business program of the Forum, the participants discussed prospects and problems of localization of manufacturers on the territory of the Samara region, considered trends in establishment and development of engineering centers, and also cooperation of industrial enterprises and higher education institutes.

In particular, in the course of an extended meeting “Machine- and automobile production“, Roman Vakhromov made a report, in which he told about modern materials developed by VIAM, their possible applications and about corrosion protection systems purposed for automobile industry.

It should be noted that VIAM carries out full-scale road tests of Lada Granta at its branch, Gelendjik climatic testing center. Such comprehensive tests for the Russian car industry are carried out for the first time allowing JSC “AvtoVAZ” to improve corrosion protection systems of products.
