On the 19^th November 2014 the delegation of All-Russian Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM), which is presently in China, has visited AVIC Composite Cooperation Ltd (ACC) which is a part of AVIC TECH.

The General Director of ACC Se Fuyuan introduced the guests from Moscow with the company possibilities and its main directions of activity, and also highly evaluated the bilateral cooperation potential with Russia.

As the head of Russian delegation the General Director of VIAM academician of RAS Evgeny Nikolaevich Kablov has highlighted “in the course of the negotiations we have discussed the cooperation prospects on polymer composite materials. We have agreed to meet again with ACC representatives in spring 2015 on the matter.”

In particular the application of carbon fibers with standard toughness module and highly strong carbon fibers with average toughness module of Chinese production to develop and manufacture Russian new age composite materials was considered. The agreement on the mentioned fibers types supply in the interests of Russian industry was achieved.

Besides the matters of new age polymer composite materials carbon plastics development for advanced articles of civil aviation, oil and gas and wind energy were discussed as well as the “green” composites development.

The matter of ACC materials qualification in accordance with Russian regulations and the matter of natural climatic testing of the PCM structures considering VIAM and climatic stations in PRC capabilities were discussed.
