On November 11, 2014, the annual general meeting of Association of state research centers “NAUKA” was held at the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM). Participants considered a report on executed work of the Association and discussed the main areas of activity for the next year.
The chairman of the Council – academician of RAS Evgeny N. Kablov, president of the Association, General Director f VIAM, said: “Nowadays SRCs remain a leader in the field of applied researches and developments aimed at solution of the most important state problems.” According to his opinion, the system of SRCs is the most important element of the national innovative system in the field of generation of knowledge and training of scientific and engineering personnel.
Evgeny Kablov pointed out: “Our work is in demand and it is very necessary for Russia”.
In turn, Irina Gorskaya, general director of the Association of state research centers “NAUKA” told that in cooperation with legislative and executive authorities the Association had taken part in discussion and preparation of different decisions aimed at perfection of organization of scientific researches within the last year.
According to her words, the Association most actively worked together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and with the Presidential Council on Science and Education. Particularly, some reports about development of the centers of the collective use were prepared and estimation of their efficiency was submitted to the last year’s meeting of the council. It is gratifying to emphasize that our proposals were took into account and reflected in appropriate documents. Irina Gorskaya also reported that representatives of the Association had participated in different conferences, roundtable discussions and seminars.
In Irina Gorskaya’s opinion, the conference “State research centers of the Russian Federation – 20 years on the way of innovative development” which was held on November 20, 2013 and was devoted to anniversary of signing a Presidential Edict about creation of state research centers of the Russian Federation should be mentioned. Members of the Executive Office of the President, the Central office of the Government of the Russian Federation, heads and members of Committees of the Federation Council and the State Duma, different department officers supervising the activities of SRC RF, representatives of RAS and various scientific organizations and enterprises took part in the conference.
It should be noted, that a new composition of Council of the Association was elected in the course of the event. The first meeting was held after the end of the assembly, in which Evgeny Kablov was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Council and President of the Association of SRC.
Representatives of state research centers highly appreciated Evgeny Kablov’s work in line of duty, heartily congratulated him on reelection and wished inexhaustible vital and creative power, and new achievements for the benefit of the domestic science and Russia.

The Association of state research centers “NAUKA” was established in 1995 by scientific organizations, which were assigned a status of the state research center of the Russian Federation by the Government of the Russian Federation with the purpose to coordinate their activities, to protect rights and to present joint interests of its members. The Association “NAUKA” is a non-profit enterprise, which consolidates their activities. Today it unites 48 research organizations situated in seven regions of RF.
Carrying out of interaction with federal legislative and executive authorities, protection of rights and legal interests of SRC RF, cooperation in promotion of technologies, search of partners, investors both within the country and abroad, organization and assistance in holding symposiums, conferences, exhibitions, professional training of experts of SRC RF are among the tasks of the Association. Besides, the Association actively takes part in legislative support.
