On September 10, 2014, representatives of Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials (BIAM) were on a working visit to All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM). Chinese delegation consisted of Professor Yue Yan, head of optical transparent structural & functional materials division, Liu Guangxun, head of international cooperation department, Doctor Van Tao and Doctor Chen Yhun.
Candidate of Science (Tech.) Larissa V. Chursova, Deputy General Director, Valery A. Bogatov, head of laboratory, Alexander O. Mitin, engineer, Vladislav S. Zyryanov, head of international cooperation and foreign economic activity department and Alla O. Rodina, head of the contract group participated in the meeting from the party of VIAM.
Within the frames of the visit, the parties discussed prospects of cooperation in the field of materials for glazing of civil aviation engineering in particular aviation-purposed transparent glass materials and multifunctional optical coatings.
At the meeting, the further cooperation was targeted and it was agreed to coordinate the scope of collaborative works during the month.
It should be noted that the guests from Beijing visited VIAM exhibition where a special attention was paid to the stands of non-metallic materials developed for glazing and for improvement of optical properties and repair of glass constructions.
