On July 21, 2014 leaders and collective of All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) presented their condolences to the people of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in connection with the occurred tragedy on the 17-th of July - crash of Boeing-777 airplane of Malaysia Airlines.
In this connection the official letters signed by the General Director of VIAM, academician of RAS Evgeny Nikolaevich Kablov were transferred to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plentipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Russian Federation Ron J.P.M. van Dartel and the President of Delft University of Technology Dirk van den Berg.
«Take our deep and sincere condolences on the occasion of tragic death of сitizens of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which were on board of Boeing-777 plane of Malaysia Airlines company , suffered a crash on July 17, 2014», was noted in the letter. It is stressed in the text of condolence: « Death of people is a terrible loss for relatives, the nearest and state. We share your sorrows and express our deep sympathy with families and relatives of the lost».
On 21st of June in the evening an initiative group of VIAM employees laid flowers to the Embassy of the Netherlands and lit commemorative candles in the memory of victims of tragedy.
