The delegation headed by Alexey A. Seomin, the chief of unit of Department for development of priority directions of science and technologies of Ministry of education and science of Russian Federation, visited All-Russian scientific-research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) on December 11, 2013.

Among the members of delegation were representatives of Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, Federal budgetary scientific agency “Directorate of scientific-technical programs” (STP), directing scientific organization “National Nanotechnology Network” (NNN), National research center “Kurchatov Institute”.

In framework of the visit, VIAM staff informed the guests about activity of branch division of Center for metrological supervision and nanoproducts conformity assessment by technological direction “Composite nanomaterials”.

Particularly the delegation was acquainted with small-scale production of nanostructured super heat-resistant alloys and workshop for isothermal forging of nanostructured disks for GTE. Also scientific-and-production complexes for casting of single-crystal blades with nanostructured strengthened phase, heat-resistant nanopowder solders, ion-plasma nanocoatings were shown to the guests.

As it was explained by candidate of technical science Alexey N. Lutsenko, Head of VIAM Testing Center, “NNN was established in the frame of Federal targeted program “Development of infrastructure of nanoindustry in Russian Federation in 2008-2011”. “In November 2011 the Council of NNN was established and academician of RAS Evgeny N.Kablov, Director General of VIAM, joined the Council. Due to NNN activity it became possible to equip a number of institutes and universities with up-to-date equipment and to intensify activity of research and education centers”, - he stated.
