In September 10-13, 2013 specialists of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) conducted a workshop for representatives of the Ukrainian company «MOTOR SICH» against the theme «Composite materials for aeronautical engineering, their manufacture technologies, methods of investigation and testing».

In particular, in the course of the seminar, which was held at VIAM, types of PCM, their efficiency when application for aeronautical engineering( gas turbine engines, airplanes, helicopters), materials, used for creation of carbon-, organo-, glassplastics (binders, fillers, prepregs), but also technologies of PCM articles manufacture were considered. Besides, an attention was paid to peculiarities of ultrasonic control, diagnostics, qualification tests of composites, but also to equipment, used for manufacture of PCM and their testing.

By the results of the workshop, deputy general director of VIAM Larisa Chursova presented corresponding certificates to the participants.

As the guests from Zaporozhye noted, a high level of preparation of VIAM specialists helps to extend sufficiently the knowledge in the area of composites.
