On April 13^th, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree of the RF Government, according to which the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" - VIAM was included in the list of 44 scientific organizations retaining the status of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation (SRC RF).

The SRC RF activities are annually evaluated by the expert community at the highest level. Based on the analysis of the effectiveness of the SRC RF activities, a decision is made to retain this status for specific scientific organizations once every two years.

Maintaining the status of a state research center allows organizations to enjoy property tax and land tax benefits.

It should be reminded that the state research centers of RF are members of the Association of State Research Center "NAUKA", established in 1995 with the aim of coordinating, protecting the rights and representing the common interests of its members. Its tasks include interaction with federal legislative and executive authorities, protection of the rights and legitimate interests of state research centers of RF.
