The All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) has sent various books to secondary schools and regional libraries under the charity event which is held this year.

150 schools from the Belgorod, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kursk, Oryol and Ulyanovsk Regions will get books of different genres such as novels, fantastic fiction, adventure, war stories and other books written by the magnificent national writers – classics of the Russian literature and outstanding Soviet writers.

Moreover, VIAM has purchased various classic fiction, Russian history books and military-patriotic books for the libraries of the Republic of Marij El, the Chuvash Republic, the Volgograd, Kostroma, Orenburg, Samara, Tula and Yaroslavl regions (90 addresses in total).

VIAM has also sent the books published by the Institute to schools and libraries. These books include the biography of the great soviet scientist and aircraft designer Robert Bartini, documentary fiction work about the pioneer in the national materials science and the VIAM founder Ivan Sidorin and the book dedicated to the “red directors” of our Institute – Petr Bakhmanov and Vasily Desyatnikov. 

It is necessary to note that VIAM is holding such charity events since 2015.
