The construction of a new laboratory and production complex for manufacturing of polymer composite materials and coatings in the VIAM Ulyanovsk Scientific-Technological Center has been regarded the best investment project in the Ulyanovsk region (in nomination “the Best project in the field of innovative technologies”).  

The relevant certificate was granted at the Governor’s board for investments by the head of the region Sergey Ivanovich Morozov.

At present at the site of the new laboratory and production complex the construction, repair and finishing works have already been finished, the automatized technological equipment has been installed and the production and laboratory and administrative and amenity buildings have been completely built. Here for the purpose of import substitution the commercial production of half-products and products from polymer composite materials of the new generation for the advanced samples of aeronautical engineering is designated. The design capacity is up to 1 million square meters per year.
