The All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) and the Tula Region Government have partnered up.

The document on cooperation was signed by Evgeny N. Kablov, the VIAM Director General, the Academician of RAS and Valery V. Sherin, the first Deputy Governor and the Chairman of the Government of the Tula Region.

The parties agreed to cooperate in the field of realization of implementation of state programs of the Russian Federation in the Tula Region, including those concerning the development of the new generation materials and digital technologies for their processing. Moreover, the collaborative work will be aimed at phasing out import critical types of equipment and materials, as well as technologies defining the technological dependence of the Russian Federation in several branches of industry.
