On February 3^rd, 2020 the general meeting of the “Science” Association of State Scientific Centers took place in the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM)

The participants considered the report on work performed by the Association that was presented by the Director General of the Association Mikhail I. Daskovsky and the main directions of further activity in 2020. Moreover, there were discussed the tasks and functions of the State Scientific Centers in the framework of the Strategy of scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation.

Evgeny N. Kablov the VIAM Director General and the President of the “Science” Association of State Scientific Centers, the Academician of RAS stated that “nowadays State Scientific Centers are the leaders of the applied studies and inventions aimed at the solution of the most important state tasks. It is highly important that State Scientific Center is the link between the universities, scientific institutes and real economy”. Evgeny Kablov also thanked the representatives of the State Scientific Centers for fruitful cooperative work.

The “Science” Association of State Scientific Centers was established in 1995 by the scientific institutions granted with the status of a State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation (SSC RF) by the Russian Government in order to coordinate their activity, secure their rights and represent their joint interests. Today the Association unites 42 Russian scientific institutions in 7 subjects of the Russian Federation.
