January 23^rd, 2019 the Director General of JSC “UEC” Alexander Viktorovich Artyuhov and Deputy Director General, Chief Designer Yury Nikolaevich Shmotin visited the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (“VIAM”).

During the visit the VIAM modern developments and technological capabilities in the field of additive technologies have been demonstrated to the guests.

Heads of VIAM and UEC discussed the collaborative work progress in the field of metal and non-metal new generation materials for advanced engines. They also considered the questions of cooperation in the field of additive technologies, blades casting and covering them with heat-protecting coatings. 

It bears reminding that VIAM and UEC have signed the agreement for cooperation in standardization and development of uniform database, technology platform of additive manufacturing for development of end-to-end cycle of component production based on unified principles. It is remarkable that VIAM is UEC’s strategic partner in implementation of corporate strategy for additive technologies introduction.
