On September 18, 2018, Deputy Director General of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) Vladislav V. Antipov has visited AECC Beijing Institute of Aviation Materials.

In the course of the visit he discussed with the Chinese colleagues the formation of the special working group on materials and manufacturing technologies, which would operate as a part of the Russian-Chinese Subgroup on science, technologies and materials science in the field of civil aircraft engineering. The parties drew attention to expediency of performing works on development of complex protection system against corrosion, aging and bioproofness of assemblies and constructions of Russian-Chinese wide-bodied long-range aircraft.

It should be noted, that during the visit in China Vladislav Antipov spoke at the first Chinese-Russian Forum of titanium industry.
