On October 3, 2018, a delegation of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials visited the Indian aircraft-building enterprise Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

In the course of the visit, the representatives of VIAM conducted negotiations with the Indian colleagues on the issue of the cooperation in the field of powder metallurgy and additive technologies, corrosion protection system, ageing, bioproofness and supply of equipment.

The working visit of the institute`s employees was planned after Mr. Pankaj Saran, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation, visited VIAM. At this meeting, new prospects for further development and strengthening of the cooperation of the institute with Indian enterprises and companies in the field of science and innovation were determined.

It should be noted, that during the journey to India the representatives of VIAM also visited Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), located in Hyderabad.  

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is the leading Indian state-owned aircraft-building company.  It was established in 1940. It produces planes, helicopters, aviation engines, details and spare parts both propriety designs and license. VIAM has cooperated with HAL since 1999.
