On October 16, 2018, the Testing Center (TC) of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials was annually inspected by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

In the course of the visit, a check of quality management system, testing and measuring equipment, permission and internal documentation of compliance with register regulations was carried out.

Besides, specialists of VIAM carried out mechanical tests of aluminum alloy in compliance with the requirements of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and determined its chemical composition.

It should be remembered, that in 2016 the Testing Center of VIAM collected recognition certificate of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, which was issued based on successful results of inspection. The document confirmed technical competence of the Testing Center in accordance with the requirements of RS.

The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping is a state enterprise of technical supervision and classification of ships under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.  The main business areas of RS are development and permanent improvement of maritime register regulations in compliance with the requirements of the International Standards to provide the highest level of safety at sea and to promote environmental protection.
