On October 15 – 17, 2018, representatives from the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) Yaroslava Sulimina and Artem Savushkin took part in the ХХVII International Forum for Materials Testing «TestXpo 2018», which traditionally took place in Ulm. The main organizer of the forum was Zwick/Roell, which was one`s of the world leader in producing testing equipment.

In the course of «TestXpo 2018», the employees of the institute made reports. Artem Savushkin spoke about anisotropy of mechanical properties of single-crystal heat-resistant nickel alloy. Also the standard for determining the Poisson ratio of single-crystal heat-resistant nickel alloys developed at VIAM was presented in the report.

Yaroslava Sulimina made a report on modern requirements to testing equipment, providing possible directions for developing test engineering.

The exhibition presented the latest trends and solutions in the field of quality assurance and materials testing. The employees of VIAM visited laboratories of Zwick/Roell, where they got acquainted with test units and devices.

As Yaroslava Sulimina pointed out, “the forum gives an opportunity not only to estimate directions and development trends of modern test engineering, but also to exchange experience with the Russian colleagues in the field of materials testing and directionally with the developers of testing equipment”.

Over the last twenty years the forum has evolved from small enterprise to modern square, where not only all process line and the latest developments in the field of test equipment of Zwick/Roell, but also products from more than 25 partners from various test areas are presented.
