On October 22, 2018, the representatives from the Department of mechanical engineering of Tsinghua University (PRC) visited the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials.

During negotiations the parties discussed the issues of possible cooperation in the field of additive technologies. Besides, the Chinese specialists prepared presentation on researches of electron beam based on melting of powders in a pre-form layer. 

In the course of the visit, the representatives of Tsinghua University got acquainted with additive manufacturing details of complex technical systems developed by VIAM. It included production of consumable charge billets, production of fine powders of domestic alloys and development of technologies of selective laser melting of details from powders with subsequent gas-static treatment.

 Tsinghua University is one of the leading universities of PRC, which was founded in 1911. It is a member of the elite C9 League of Chinese universities. Tsinghua University constantly takes the first place in National ranking of universities in PRC. There are many prominent scholars, artists and politicians including two last chairmen of PRC – Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping among the graduates of the Universities.
