Beijing: a meeting of the Special working group on materials and technologies

On November 8, 2018, the third Special Russian-Chinese working group on materials and technologies has taken part in AECC Beijing Institute of Aviation Materials. Representatives from FSUE “VIAM”, JSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, and JSC Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant participated in the event.

Deputy Director General of VIAM, Vladislav V. Antipov (leader of the Russian part of the Special working work) made a report on materials of VIAM, recommended for appliance in a design of wide-body long-range aircraft (CR 929).

According to the results of the meeting, the Russian and the Chinese parties signed a protocol defining the procedure for further cooperation.

Wide-body long-range aircraft (CR 929) is a project of the advanced joint Russian-Chinese wide-body long-range aircraft for 250 – 300 passengers. Full-scale mock-up model of the aircraft was presented in the International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition «Airshow China 2018».
