On September 8, 2018, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis V. Manturov visited the exposition of VIAM at the exhibition "Hydroaviasalon-2018".

The Minister was presented the developments of the Institute in the field of additive technologies, including the "printed" details of the PD-14 engine (swirler, gas collector, nozzle vane). He paid special attention to the combustion chamber of MGTD-125 engine, produced from alloy VZh159 by using the technology of selective laser melting.

The First Deputy General Director of VIAM Olga G. Ospennikova spoke about the achievements of the Institute in the field of additive technologies, in particular, about the successful solution of the issue on developing production of domestic metal powder compositions. "At present, the production of metal powder compositions in the volume of up to 190 tons per year is guaranteed," - Olga Ospennikova pointed out.
