The All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials took part in the 12^th International Exhibition “Hydroaviasalon-2018”.

The exposition of VIAM was presented in the exhibition hall “C”, where everyone interested had an opportunity to obtain detailed information about the main activities of VIAM, the work of A.G. Akimov Gelendzhik Climatic Testing Center, as well as the institute`s developments in the field of lacquer coatings, complex protection system against corrosion, aging and biodeterioration, corrosion protection and climatic tests.

In particular, samples of special pastes needed for removing corrosion products from parts made from various alloys, primers for protecting internal and external surfaces of parts, enamels for painting aviation and special equipment, surface facilities as well as transport equipment were presented at the stand. In addition, there was a fiber-optic corrosion sensor, designed to monitor corrosion in hard-to-reach assembly units of aviation structures.

The guests and participants had an opportunity to get acquainted with the institute`s developments in the field of additive technologies and polymer composite materials.
