On August 21, 2018, on the opening day of the International military-technical forum “ARMY-2018”, the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials and JSC “United Engine Corporation” have signed a cooperation agreement.

The document was signed by Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of FSUE “VIAM” and Alexander V. Artyukhov, Director General of JSC “UEC”.

The agreement is aimed at cooperation in the field of unification and the creation of a single database, a technological platform for additive manufacturing in order to form a full cycle of producing parts on the unified principles.

The main areas of cooperation are as follows: development and assimilation of the Russian metal powder compositions for producing gas turbine engine parts by the methods of selective laser melting, electron beam melting, direct laser growth, certification and qualification of synthesized material from metal powder compositions of domestic and foreign manufacture, development of technological solutions for manufacturing parts from the Russian metal powder compositions by additive technologies and introducing them into batch production, joint research, selection, testing of domestic and foreign additive equipment.

In addition, the parties have come to an arrangement upon the establishment of the Technical Council, which will operate on the basis of the center of additive technologies SC “Rostec” – JSC “Center of additive technologies”.

Evgeny Kablov pointed out, that “cooperation” will promote to reduce terms of development, batch mastering and to bring high-tech competitive products to market.
