The exposition of VIAM, presented at the joint stand of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, was devoted to additive technologies – one of the main world trends of new industrial revolution.

Participants and visitors could get acquainted with the latest developments of VIAM in this field. In particular, details of engines PD-14 and PD-35 produced from alloy VZh159 using technology of selective laser melting (tangential swirl, nozzle body, deflector) were presented at the stand. The visitors were shown combustion chamber and turbine wheel of engine MGTD-125 produced on the basis of additive manufacturing as well as metal-powder composition of alloys based on nickel, iron, cobalt, aluminum and titanium.

It should be noted, that the specialists of VIAM have gathered rich experience in the field of additive technologies. So, production of closed cycle of additive manufacturing details of complex technical systems is among the most important achievements of the institute in this field.  The existing base allows organizing at VIAM the serial low-tonnage production of metal powder compositions with their subsequent certification for leading engine-building enterprises.

The International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPOM” is annually held in Yekaterinburg since 2010. In 2012 the Government of Russia assigned it the federal status. The partner of INNOPROM-2018 was the Republic of Korea, and its organizer was the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
