On June 20, 2018, laureates of the All-Russian contest “Engineer of the year – 2017” – employees of the capital enterprises were awarded congratulatory addresses from the Mayor of Moscow S.S. Sobyanin in the Russian Union of scientific and engineering public organizations (RosSNIO).

Among awarders were the representatives of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) Evgeny Kolyadov, Pavel Mazalov, Sergey Naprienko.

It should be noted, that young specialists of VIAM actively participate in the contest “Engineer of year”, where their work is evaluated on its merits by jury. The contest is held in two versions as follows: “Engineering art of young” and “Professional engineers”. Its main objectives are to identify elite of Russian corps of Engineers, to format the interest in this profession among young people and to enhance prestige of engineering work in general.
