On May 25, 2018, a delegation of the Xi`an Aeronautical University (PRC) visited the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials.

During the visit, the Chinese colleagues were told about the development of materials science in Russia, the latest achievements of VIAM in the field of manufacturing technologies and materials of new generation. The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation on research of composite, ceramic and high-temperature coatings.

Besides, the guests got acquainted with the system of continuous training of engineering and scientific research personnel, implemented at VIAM.

Xi`an Aeronautical University was founded in 1955. Currently, over 500 teachers work and over 15 thousand students learn at the university. There are nine faculties including aviation, mechanical and electro technical ones at the universities. Students are prepared in 57 specialties at these faculties. It should be added, that Xi`an is the capital of Shaanxi Province. It is the city of science, engineering and education, in which there are more than 100 universities.
