On May 9, 2018, the employees of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) took part in the memorial event “Immortal regiment”.

The participants of the march passed along Leningradsky Prospect, Tverskaya Street, Okhotny Ryad, Manejnaya and Red Squares, they carried portraits of their relatives, who fought at the fronts of the Great Patriotic War.

This year the memorial event “Immortal Regiment” has become the most massive in Moscow for all years. According to the organizers` estimates, there were about one million people in the march.

“Immortal Regiment” is a public action, which takes place in Russia and a number of near and far abroad countries on the Victory Day. In 2017, the march “Immortal Regiment” united almost 8 million people throughout Russia.
