In 2017-2018, specialists of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) jointly with designers of JSC "Penzadieselmash" have developed a welding technology of rotor shafts of turbocharges using electron-beam method.

The performed works allowed to increase technical level of Penza plant`s products.

In particular, bench and type tests confirm that implementation of the new method for welding rotors improved quality of balancing rotors, which subsequently led to a decrease in self-oscillations and noise level of the turbocharges.

Besides, the implementation of forging of disks from heat-resistant alloys manufactured by VIAM`s technologies allowed to  reduce the time spent for mechanical processing and to produce an uniform stable structure of metal with high mechanical properties.

In his letter, Director General of JSC "Penzadieselmash" Mikhail F. Skuratko highly appreciated the joint work and expressed his hope for the continuation of successful cooperation.
