On March 28, 2018, Director General of JSC «United Engine Corporation», Alexander V. Artyukhov and Deputy Director General – General designer of corporation, Yuri N. Shmotin visited the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM).

In the course of the visit, the guests were demonstrated the opportunities of VIAM in the field of development and batch manufacturing of materials of new generation.

In particular, they got acquainted with additive manufacturing, scientific and production complexes of heat treatment, ion-plasma coatings, isothermal forging of heat-resistant alloys, casting of single crystal blades, GTE, GTU.

The Leadership of VIAM and UEC also discussed the course of performing joint works.

It should be noted, that VIAM and UEC signed corporation conception, which involved joint carrying out of researches, development of innovative materials and production of resource-saving technologies. Besides, VIAM is a strategic partner of UEC in implementing corporation strategy on introduction of additive technologies.
