On 21-23 January, 2015, a delegation of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials headed by Candidate of Technical Science, Dmitry I. Kogan, Deputy Director General of VIAM, visited Voronezh joint-stock aircraft company (OJSC “VASO”). In the course of the visit, specialists from VIAM supervised on the process of production of parts of PD-14 engine nacelle made from polymer composite materials developed in VIAM.
By the results of supervision, recommendations on features of production of parts and specimens, and their testing were given to the representatives of OJSC “VASO”.
It should be noted, that the engine nacelle will be used in the new Russian short/medium-haul aircraft MS-21.

Advanced engine (PD-14) is being developed on the base of engine PC-12 by OJSC “Aircraft engine” and relates to family of advanced civil turbofan double-flow engines with 9-18 tones takeoff trust.
Voronezh aircraft plant was founded in 1932. The enterprise manufactures long-haul wide-bodied passenger aircraft “IL-96-300” and transport aircraft “IL-96-400” , produces parts, units, aggregates from polymer composite materials for modern local airliner “Superjet” (RRJ) of “Sychoi” company. A project for production of “Airbus” subassemblies has been developed and being realized.
