Attention of the State is riveted to the development of composites market
On August 4, 2014 Vladimir V. Putin, President of the Russian Federation had a working meeting with Denis V. Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade. At the meeting, a special attention was paid to the development of composite materials market.
As Denis Manturov has reported, a huge groundwork was laid in Russia for development of composite industry and consumption. «On the average, the world market grows by 5–7 % per year. In Russia these materials are mainly used in housing and communal services, transport infrastructure, aerospace, power industry», – he said and emphasized that in comparison with other developed countries consumption of composites per capita in Russia is 15 times lower.
Denis Manturov has emphasized « that the main current task is creation of favorable conditions of composites consumption causing an increase in production output. Therefore we pay much attention to changing regulations in force, development of new regulations, sets of rules, costs estimate documentation, standards».
According to the minister, two already created engineering centers will support putting of new types of products into commercial production. «Actually, they serve as a bridge between development and implementation in the industry. One of them was created on the basis of the institute of aviation materials, which works under the authority of our ministry», – Denis Manturov has noted.
On his opinion, the production volume of composite materials was increased, as a whole, by 40 % within 2013 in comparison with 2012, and expected annual growth is planned more than 25 %.
