The V Forum of the innovative technologies, “InfoSpace”, took place in Moscow on March 26, 2014.
Roman Streshnev, head of corporate communications department of VIAM took part in the section «Development trends of the Russian aerospace industry» carried out within the event.
Ekaterina Popova, the chairman of the committee for assistance of modernization and engineering development of the Russian economics under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation acted as the moderator of this section. She told about possible promising projects of Russia taking into account the world tendencies. Denis Lyskov, deputy head of the Federal Space Agency told about essential principles of the public policy in the field of the use of space activity results in interests of modernization of economics of our country and development of the Russian regions.
Many of the attendees noted the importance of personnel training and the need of integration of aircraft and space branches under the aegis of one department, instead of their division into responsibility areas of separate corporations. Long-term space program, scientific and technical development and innovative activities in the Russian defense industry complex were discussed as well.
During the event, Roman Streshnev reported that «implementation of large-scale innovative projects both in aerospace industry and in other branches of our economics is impossible without creation and commercialization of new materials». «The principle of integrity of material, technology and structure is of great importance», he emphasized.
The representative of VIAM reminded that VIAM created a fundamental document in the sphere of material development – «Strategic directions of the development of materials and technologies of their processing for the period until 2030», which was elaborated in a close coordination with different interested departments and enterprises and approved by the Military-Industrial Commission under the Russian Government.
«VIAM accumulated rich practical experience to solve problems of technical re-equipment, professional development and training of engineering personnel, which we are ready to share with our colleagues», Roman Streshnev continued. He also noted «solution of the problem of the intellectual property protection and commercial implementation of know-how created by domestic scientists and engineers becomes a good incentive for development of the domestic engineering school in our country». «It is reasonable to consider a patent as the main assessment criterion for scientific organizations. After all, this document demonstrates clearly efficiency and demand for scientific researches and developments. It is remarkable that now there are no distinctions between a publication in a magazine (research paper) and a patent in the course of definition and calculation of publication activity indicators; that is, according to many scientists, incorrectly. » – Roman Streshnev resumed results of the forum.
