Delegation of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) took part in the major international exhibition on composite materials «JEC Composites Show 2014», which took place 11-13 of March in Paris.
The stand of VIAM was presented as a part of the Russian Federation exposition and devoted to developments of the institute in the field of manufacture of composites prepregs, infusion binders, adhesive materials for PCM, paintwork materials for protection of composites. Representatives of VIAM told visitors about the work of the Testing Center and the Center of Competence of VIAM on development, investigations and qualification of PCM.
Representatives of companies MPI, SAHM, Mondi, Caroldite, Mersen, Walter Mader AG, Elemental, Schmidt&Heinzmann, Ekinoks-AG, LORD, DYNABRADE, Kush Synthetics, Solvay, SUHT, Erco, Zyex, EADS, S.A. Isolants Victor Hallet, SKZ, Warsaw institutes of aviation and technology, the North-West Iceland municipality familiarized themselves with the stand of VIAM.
In particular, specialists of English company Elemental got interested in the materials for production of premium-class sport autos, but employees of S.A.Isolants Victor Hallet – in manufacture of materials for electric insulation industry.
Representatives of SKZ company (Germany) showed interest in the Educational center of VIAM and suggested to consider a possibility of mutual programs and training for Russian companies.
Besides, in the course of the event specialists of VIAM got an opportunity to study general directions and tendencies of development of composite materials international market and also new techniques and technologies; they met with representatives of leading manufacturing companies in PCM field
At the exhibition representatives of VIAM got acquainted also with a presentation of French company Catalyse. The results on manufacture, regulation of size and properties of microcapsules, and the subject of microcapsulizing of compositions, capable to following release aimed at self-curing of polymer matrix raised a special interest.
