Irina Sharova and Kirill Kutsevich, research workers of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) took part in the seminar «Modern production technologies and applications of adhesive and sealing materials» held on February 25-26, 2014 within the frames of the 2nd International Exhibition «Adhesives and Sealants – 2014» ("Crocus-Expo" hall).
During the seminar, Irina Sharova made a speech about reports of Lesley Clark (Airbus) «An overview: Development of adhesives and sealants in aerospace engineering» and Benjamin Kramer (SIKA) «Structural adhesion as a key design technology of multimaterials for light-weight car components». Let us note that the reports of these foreign experts were presented at the World Adhesives and Sealants Conference WAC held in Paris in 2012.
In his turn, Kirill Kutsevich told to the attendees about properties of aviation-purposed glues and adhesive materials developed by VIAM.
As Irina Sharova reported, «this seminar became an effective platform for a constructive dialogue and discussion of the problems facing the Russian industry of adhesives and sealants».
